Finding Us

Tideswell is located in the heart of the Peak District, approximately 9 miles north-east of the well-known town of Buxton. The main road of Tideswell is the B6049 and this can be accessed from either the A6 (from Buxton) or the A623 (from Chesterfield)...

From Buxton:

At the Morrison's roundabout take the next exit after the supermarket entrance onto the A6. Follow the road through Ashwood Dale and up Topley Pike and then you will find yourself on a reasonably straight road on which you will see two left hand turnings. The first one is for a camp-site and can be ignored, but the second one (50 yards further along the A6), signposted Tideswell, should be taken. Then simply follow the road (B6049) through Millers Dale and then on into Tideswell. Continue along the main road through the village until you see the Natwest bank on the right-hand side. Directly opposite the bank is a road (Parke Road) that runs between a charity shop and a fish and chip shop, this is the road that you want to take. At the top of Parke Road turn left, and then take a right-hand turn up Summer Cross, Monksway Gardens are half-way up the hill on the left-hand side.

From Chesterfield:

Continue on the A623 from Chesterfield passing through the villages of Baslow, Calver and Stoney Middleton. One should follow the A623 until they reach a cross-road which has Andrews Coaches and The Anchor Inn on the right-hand side, and Tideswell on the left. Take the turn for Tideswell (B6049) and follow the road into the village. Continue until you reach the Natwest bank (which is on a bend), taking a right-hand turn up Parke Road (which runs between a charity shop and a fish and chip shop). At the top of Parke Road turn left and then right onto Summer Cross. The garden is situated half-way up the hill on the left-hand side.
